Film Of College Life Is Shown To Alumni; Speakers Dis-cuss School's Program
Motion pictures of the Mt. Holyoke campus and of the college activities, with scenes from school's production of Spenser's "Faerie Queene," were shown at a meeting of the Mt. Hol-yoke club of Long Island Saturday afternoon at the McIntosh studios, Rorckville Centre. Among the guest speakers were Miss Dorothy Knapp of Farmingdale who is one of the students following the two unit plan, an experiment at the college; Miss Hazel Witty of Min-eola who recounted her experiences in returning to her home by special train through the flood areas; Miss Sue Burdick of Huntington, and Miss Anne Edwards of Peiping, China. Mrs. E. L. Kurtz of Great Neck, president of the club, received the guests. Miss Mildred Holt of Ho111 was chairman of program, with Mrs Edward Jackson, who was chairman for the afternoon. Mrs. Lester. G. Chapin of Rockville Centre and Mrs. E. A. Martin of Hempstead presided at the tea table. The next meeting of the club will be a luncheon at the Bethpage Country club in Farming-dale, Saturday, May 2. Among those present were: Miss Muriel Petersen Mr. and Mrs. (le Eldon Ha- of scoirrt T. BAPTIST CHURCH CLUB HOLDS LADIES NIGHT The men's league of the Rockville Centre Baptist church entertained at a ladies night program last night at the Edith VIcIntosh studios on Hill-side avenue, Rockville Centre. Warren Aish-. ton, Frank Britt and Rudolph Neu-bauer, Guests of honor were the Rev. Edwin Richmond, pastor emeritus of the church, and the Bev, Harold 0, McNeil, the new active pastor, Harrison B.
